I am writing to thank each member of your exceptional staff for an experience that has changed my life. In October of 2001 I was crowned Miss Colorado U.S.A. 2002. I knew I would want to look and feel my best as the state representative and as I vied for the title of Miss U.S.A. 2002. I began working intensively with a personal trainer. My body immediately responded and showed results however, one part of my body remained the same. Regardless of how hard I trained and how much weight I would lift, it was not within my power to change the part of my body I was most self-conscious of. It is because of Dr. Squires that I no longer have a reason to be self-conscious.

Each member of your staff took me under their wing in many ways. Linda, thank you for being so warm and courteous while we scheduled appointments (not the easiest thing to do with my schedule). Paula, thank you for being patient, ready and more than willing to answer the numerous questions I had. Windy, thank you for your professionalism and assurance. Dr. Squires, thank you for your knowledge that walked me step by step through my surgery and for your contribution that has changed the way I see myself forever. Thank you for making me feel as though I was the only patient in the office every time a member of your staff saw me. I never once have felt as if a number in a chart only identified me, instead I am greeted by my first name every time I enter and exit the office.

My goals for plastic surgery have not only been met but also exceeded. It is the bedside mannerisms of your practice that have made the difference and a lasting impression on friends, my family and me. My needs and desires for the surgery vary greatly from that of other patients, this was not only respected but also encouraged. I am very happy with my outcome. Having a body that I am proud of has made a HUGE difference in my personal self esteem. I want to have Dr. Squires perform another surgery on me which I feel will complete my attitude. My mother always said that that beauty comes fro within - but, if you're self conscience about your exterior - it is too much of a barrier to exude any bit of beauty. Thanks to you all. Usually, our facial image remains static from one brief glance to the next. Normally, that image is something we take for granted.

On July 5, 2001, while descending a steep mountain road, I was violently thrust over the handlebars of my road bike. My face took the full brunt of the fall, peeling back my lower lip and ripping the gums and soft tissues of my mouth away from my lower teeth and jaw. Several of my upper front teeth were destroyed and the bone in which they were embedded was shattered. My left cheek was scrapped bare to the bone and one or two of those displaced teeth were embedded in my upper lip which was crudely ripped up to the nostrils. While being driven to the emergency room by another cyclist, I happened to glance at myself in his rearview mirror. Never again would I take my facial image for granted.

Sixteen months and three surgeries later a snapshot of my smiling face barely reveals the grotesque deformities that occurred on that July day. This is because my husband, also a surgeon, requested that Dr. John Squires be my facial “repairman”. Dr. Squires not only repaired my obvious facial damage, but he was able to achieve excellent results with facial tissue that was torn, shredded, and embedded with gravel, asphalt, and dirt. Dr. Squires' surgical skill in restoring my mouth was simply remarkable. I give him credit for the smile that now, once again, comes easily to my face.

The staff that supports Dr. Squires also deserves great credit for their knowledge and compassion. From Linda's sparkling greeting at the reception desk to Paula's painless removal of my numerous stitches, my visits to Dr. Squires' office are genuinely pleasant.

I recommend Dr. John Squires and the Squires Clinic without reservation.

Dear Dr. Squires,

I have been writing this note to you in my mind, hoping some magical words would come to me, something simply wonderful, to convey my deep gratitude and awe for what you have done for me. I just simply have to tell you that each morning when I get up I say “thank you, thank you Dr. Squires.” This whole experience has meant more to me than I ever imagined, and my admiration of your skill and goodness is endless.

The care and giving emanating from your staff is just as genuine and honest as ever, and it was a painless and comfortable procedure from beginning to end because of them. I can't say enought about the level of trust you generate.

Love my new face, and friends are amazed that I look “fresher, younger, and natural,” - and they are surprised to learn that I had a facelift and it doesn't look tight or unnatural in any way. That, I tell them, is a tribute to you and your skill and integrity. Even my doctor was astonished -- he actually stared at me, examining my face closely, and shaking his head at the fact that I am 65. He thought that I had made an error on the information sheet in his file!

I must stop, or I will cry, and babble the same things over again and again.

Dear Dr. Squires,

I just wanted to write you a note to tell you how much I appreciate the work and confidence that you put into my extremely challenging nose. As you know, I had been through a lot of prior surgeries on my nose with no success.
