What qualifications should I look for in a plastic surgeon?

The first, of course, is that your plastic surgeon should be board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Secondly, that the surgeon frequently performs the operation or operations that you are interested in. Thirdly, and of equal importance, is that you feel comfortable with the individual. He or she should be willing to answer all of your questions thoroughly and show you examples of his or her work. Remember that you are putting your only face, your only body, your only life, in the hands of this individual and you want to know that they are going to take good care of you.
