Laser Skin Resurfacing Denver
Also known as “laser peel,” laser skin resurfacing usually takes less than 1½ hours (sometimes just a few minutes) depending on the size of the area being treated. The procedure uses a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser beam, which vaporizes the upper layers of damaged skin at controlled levels of penetration. The procedure removes areas of damaged or wrinkled skin often caused by prolonged sun exposure. Laser resurfacing can minimize the appearance of fine lines around the mouth and the eyes and is also effective in treating facial scars and skin areas with uneven pigmentation. Several types of laser are used depending on your individual needs.
UltraPulse C02 Laser – Is a more intensive laser treatment used for deep lines and scars of the face. The deeper treatment usually requires general anesthesia and a 10-14 day healing time but is our most effective treatment for deep lines and scars.
Pearl Laser – Is a much milder laser treatment used for fine lines and sun spots of the face. It can be done in the office as a “Lunch time” peel with topical cream anesthesia only. Recovery time is minimal, you will have some flaking for a few days until the rejuvenated skin shows through.
