The MicroPeel® is a process that removes a micro-thin top layer of skin. The top layer is a significant obstruction to having better, more youthful skin because it is pore-clogged. This treatment is safe, effective and is accomplished in about 15-20 minutes. Makeup can be applied right away and there is no down time.

Step one is an exfoliation of the skin. This frees the skin of dead cellular layers and protein. By reducing the top layer of skin, it also lessens the appearance of fine lines and brown spots. A change in the skin texture can be felt right away by brushing your hand across your cheek.

Step two involves some type of acid treatment. Typically, our Aestheticians utilize a 2% Lactic Acid and may incorporate an Alpha Hydroxy Acid solution if your skin condition warrants this. A slight stinging or tingling sensation may be felt, however this is momentary and quite normal.

The final step involves a process called Cryogenic Therapy. Carbon dioxide is applied to the face in light, circular motions. Immediately, the coolness causes an anti-inflammatory response. Pores look smaller and sun-damaged cells are cast off. Oil and blackheads are unblocked. The surface of the skin becomes smoother instantly.

As with a Facial, we recommend this treatment monthly. Acne or Acne prone skin may benefit from having this treatment performed twice a month.
